EXHAUST SYSTEMS EXPLAINED

Before choosing your exhaust, it helps to know what you are buying or needing, in these diagrams are some common terms you will hear when purchasing exhausts and components.

Each vehicle will be slightly different, with some having twin or single systems, more or less mufflers, resonators, cats & diesel vehicles having DPF's. Modern vehicles can have O2 sensors attached to some sections of the exhaust system.
